What is a shared spare parts pool?
An inventory of critical parts maintained by DXM and shared across several clients running comparable equipment. No single operation can justify a full spare inventory on its own; spread across several, it becomes a reasonable operating expense.
What does a fleet audit include?
A real inventory of your equipment, its condition, the critical parts with no redundancy, the manufacturer support status of each element, and the replacement priority order for when a budget exists.
When is replacing better than extending?
When the critical part no longer exists even on the used market, when power draw or rack space costs more than amortizing a replacement, or when the system blocks a format change you have to make anyway. We'll tell you if that's the case.
Do you support equipment you didn't install?
Yes. A good share of the fleets we maintain were installed by someone else.
