Aximmetry in Quebec — virtual production engine

What we do with Aximmetry

Aximmetry is a real-time render engine for virtual sets: it builds the environment that appears behind the host, following camera movement so the perspective stays right.

We integrate it with cameras, tracking, keying and the broadcast chain. The engine alone does nothing good: it’s the agreement between stage lighting, green screen quality, camera calibration and rendering that produces a believable image.

What we deliver: full stage design, installation, calibration, set construction or integration, training, and support.

When a virtual studio doesn’t deliver what it promised

We’re often called to virtual stages already installed that aren’t performing. In nearly every case the problem isn’t the render engine — it’s a poorly tensioned cyclorama, lighting that creates shadows impossible to key out, or cameras that aren’t calibrated to each other.

We fix what’s broken instead of replacing what works. It costs you less, and it’s the approach we tell in our case studies.

Questions we get asked

“Can we change sets mid-show?” Yes, that’s one of the main points: one studio, several shows, several visual worlds.

“How many people to run it?” Once tuned, one operator. That’s the design criterion — a stage that needs a team of specialists every morning won’t get used.

“Green screen or LED wall?” Both work with the engine. An LED wall gives natural reflections and better feedback for hosts; a green screen costs less and is easier to change.
